Offensive subjects (elaborate): for subjects I find offensive, please don’t bring up anything sexual or blasphemous (why would you even...). IC-wise, that’s unlikely to come up, as she’s a child!

Fighting with this character: seek permission, but seriously... Lillie??? She’s a pampered young lady and rather small (why are you squaring off with a ten year old, she’s not even a trainer on a Pokemon journey, she was attending a school up until recently!). She’s not physically strong, but she’s got surprising endurance? She survived some dangerous scrapes and traversed worlds (passed through an Ultra Hole, so technically, she’s a Faller) and can stay on her feet even if she’s injured.

Injuring this character (include limits and severity): seek permission if it’s something more serious than a cat scratch or something. ^^;
Killing this character: seek permission!!!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: yes, but seek permission first. Might be interesting if you can see stuff she blocked out or forgot (she canonically suffered PTSD and trauma-induced amnesia in the anime).

Warnings [MAJOR spoilers for games and anime]:
In every version, to differing degrees, she has issues due to her upbringing.
Her mother is horrifically manipulative, controlling, and emotionally abusive in the games, enhanced by a substance reducing her inhibitions (sound familiar?). She treats her children like accessories or pretty things to be displayed, seen, not heard. She rejects them entirely if they don’t accept her controlling “love.” She likes Ultra Beasts more than her own children, quite likely, hence insistently dressing her children to resemble the beasts she loves.
Lillie still loves her mother, despite everything, and takes care of her. Some people harshly criticize this as undoing her work to become stronger and build up her own identity (even finally picking her own clothes out for herself), but abuse victims can still forgive their abusers... it doesn’t have to mean letting her control her anymore.

In the anime (which my Lillie’s primarily based off of), her mother’s a neglectful narcissist who takes credit for Lillie’s achievements (even though she’s such a workaholic, she misses milestones and Lillie lags behind her peers in some things because her mother wasn’t around to teach her, like how to cut vegetables), downplays her emotions as not being logical (giving Lillie an odd complex where she has to rationalize everything, even her emotional reactions), is so self-absorbed, she never picked up on her daughter’s trauma (hmm, my child who LOVES Pokemon suddenly can’t bear to touch them and reacts with genuine fear... but still likes to study them? Oh, well!), and was more offended to have an Ultra Hole hidden from her than about everything that happened to her daughter until her son called her out.
The difference her being that this version of her is a narcissistic mother who actually wants to change and do right by her kids, not just continue to treat them like enemies cruelly rejecting her, and becomes a kinder, more protective mother over time and actually ADMITS to her mistakes.
Lillie takes care of her mother, her friends send her letters (according to the preview!), and her mother’s pretty good after that. Still a bit childish and self-absorbed, but more sympathetic and she’s trying.

They leave on a journey to locate Mohn, Lillie’s long-lost father, once believed to be dead after falling into an Ultra Hole while Lillie was only a baby… she does eventually find him, although (ironically…) he suffered amnesia like his daughter, but a more complete form, forgetting his whole family, and had been living with an Ultra Beast he believed was his daughter Lillie…

He Gets Better too, though, and said Ultra Beast Lillie that is actually a Nihilego is still also adopted in and Lillie can hold her too. She’s healed and grown so much. 🤍
